Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Layoutly, operated by Techify ("Layoutly", "we", "us"), collects when you use our website, dashboard, and API at layoutly.tech, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Layoutly you agree to this policy.

Account information — name, email address, password hash (or Google account identifier if you sign in with Google), username, and avatar.

Content you create — templates, layout structures, uploaded images, and the data you send to render documents. We store this so the editor and API can work; we don't read it for any purpose other than providing the service, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Usage data — API calls, render counts, AI-generation counts, login timestamps, IP address, and browser/device information, used for plan-limit enforcement, security, and analytics.

Billing information — plan, billing period, and payment status. We do not collect or store your card number: checkout and card data are handled entirely by our payment provider, Paddle (see Section 4).

• Provide, maintain, and secure the editor, dashboard, and rendering API;
• Enforce plan limits (templates, renders, AI generations) and prevent abuse;
• Send account, billing, and service-related emails (we don't send marketing email without consent);
• Improve the product, including diagnosing bugs and understanding feature usage; and
• Comply with legal obligations, such as tax and fraud-prevention requirements.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Layoutly, under contracts that limit their use of it to that purpose:

• Paddle.com — our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle receives your email, billing address/country, and payment details directly, and processes your payment on our behalf.
• Cloudinary — stores images you upload or generate through the editor.
• Google (Vertex AI) and Azure OpenAI — process prompts and layout data to power AI template generation.
• Infrastructure providers (e.g., our hosting and database providers) — store and run the application.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Layoutly, our users, or the public.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (access and refresh tokens) and to remember basic preferences. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records (e.g., billing history) for legal or tax purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most of this yourself from account settings, or email us at support@layoutly.tech and we'll act on your request within a reasonable time.

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Layoutly is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. See also our Terms of Service.
